KVIL!

So when do you think CBS is gonna pull the plug on this looser? Re-brand, re-place...what are your thoughts?

The plug was pulled on KVIL years ago. (cue the jingle...)

"It's a shame what's happened to radio,
'cause they can't afford to do it anymore!"

I presume you are referring to 103.7 Lite FM. You might want to check with user BenB to see what he thinks about it...

HEY, BEN! Just how LOOSE is it around this LOOSER (103.7 Lite FM) you work for these days???

KVIL isn't going anywhere.

KVIL will once again re-brand in, oh...i say...20, somthing days.
Merry Christmas Thanksgiving!

To what? "Fresh 103.7"?

I think KLTY was become the suburban mom's AC station at the expense of "Lite FM" by doing a lot of what the old KVIL used to -- upbeat, positive, personality-driven, and out in the community.

Does CBS owned a "Fresh" branding somewhere?
. CBS owns all the "Fresh" brands in the markets where it used.

CBS does own the ''Fresh'' brand, however it has only worked in NYC. Chicago, Washington DC and St. Louis are either struggling or it simply failed and they bailed. (Chicago).

This could still be an option, but they don't get that you have to do more than change a name to get the numbers up.

I just do my little part the best I know how to on the weekends and go back home. How is the station you're working at doing?

Detroit has Fresh 100.3 but its owned by Clear Channel. So I believe in certain markets CBS owns the Fresh branding and if the name Fresh is used in a promo or slogan.

As Fresh St. Louis that was a rebranding from KEZK but still sounds AC like a Lite FM station compared to Fresh 102.7 NY. And 94.7 Fresh FM in Washington D.C. is straight Hot AC.

Yeah, KVIL does need to go back to its roots. They have become more and more like its rival "(Old) Mix 102.9"...and the "(New) Mix 102.9" became more like its sister station 106.1 Kiss FM with the addition of "Give Me Everything" by Pitbull and "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO. (What's sad is that KDMX's HD-2 station "Sunny 102.9 HD-2" looks to be the only true "AC" station in the metroplex.)

A friend of mine in Ft. Worth used to listen to 103.7 Lite FM, but in the past few years...for reasons unknown...it has driven her to KERA 90.1.
