KVIT (90.9 The Goldmine) To Go Valley Wide

Re: KVIT (90.7 The Goldmine) To Go Valley Wide

I apologize for the error - I don't remember if I made a typographical error or if the original story I read had the error and I ran with it. It's clearly stated on their station website - don't know why I didn't catch it.

Sorry again.

While listening n my smart phone today heard the promo they will be on 92.7 starting May1st. I actually have been tuning into the goldmine quite alot latley and will say I prefer their "top 40" sound compared to Jamz, Kiss, Power etc. Can not wait to have 92.7 back in my presets and though it wont be "dance" there will be some "mixes" which makes me happy ;-)

I applaud KVIT for trying to get better coverage in Phoenix, but the 92.7 translator doesn't do much since it's plagued by interference. Calling yourselves "America's most powerful high school station" is sort of a misstatement too. Have they forgotten about Seattle's KNHC, which is (nearly) a full-market signal?

Don't get me wrong, I want to see KVIT succeed. But they should have done their homework with this 92.7 move.

Depends on what part of the valley you're referring to. 90.7 covers a good part of the east valley, and 92.7 will make it possible to be heard on the west valley. Sure it won't be perfect, but you'd be surprised how much coverage those 10 watts create on SM.

Interesting point of view....especially with all the options out there with leasing repeaters! ::)

By Saying The Goldmine is the valley's "Most Powerful" High School Radio Station, we do not refer to wattage. We will have coverage to more potential listener's than any other high school radio station. We will get decent coverage in most cars, and people will listen. Let's just wait and see what happens...I have driven around many parts of the valley, and have been please with coverage in many areas. In addition there are some other things that may be in the works, Patience is not my strength, but I did wait 12 years fro the FCC to Grant us 90.7

I will keep my hat on...er, where did my hat go? Oh, hell- Congratulations, Senhor Grosz y companeiros! Muy bueno! Se si puede! Taco Supremo! Nachos! Doritos! Tostados!

Neither 90.7 nor 90.9 are listenable in South Tempe. I haven't tried figuring out who is stepping on who but there are at least two stations dueling for the freq.

So I was driving home today and had on the Goldmine and they are already adding in 92.7 yeah! I also see that starting Monday at 6am Bruce Kelly returns, Double Yeah!
