KVIT (90.9 The Goldmine) To Go Valley Wide

Whoops, scratch that, Tempe gets 92.7 just fine ;D was just driving around just now.

I'll have to try it in the car. Can't get anything but static at the house.

Dianne is Executive producer, mostly in an off air role, helping Bruce build the show that we feel is best for The Goldmine. She likely will appear on air once in a while, but not in a consistent role at this time. She brings significant value to us with her contacts, and ability to raise funds to support the education and operation of The Goldmine. We have many plans, too numerous to speak of, and probably to many unlikely, but 1 year ago, it would have seemed unlikely to think that this high school based radio station would Hire Bruce Kelly and expand Valley wide. Believe me, I'm living my dream, and its bigger and better than I expected. That just opens my mind to many more possibilities.

Hey Land Tuna,
That is correct, unless you are in the 60 dbu area of our signal, you likely will not get it in your house. However, you can stream it on your phone, or your computer at goldmineradio.com.
Then in most areas around the valley you will get it in your car on either frequency, and we are looking to boost 90.7 or possibly in the future, relocate that tower.

All I can say is we are running a GREAT sounding Community based radio station, on a non com 2000 watt signal in AJ, and have a translator that gives us significant coverage. We are not Clear Channel or CBS, we're a High School in Mesa...lol
But I have this feeling that something very special is about to happen here.

Listening through the Tunein app on my smart phone is the easiest and perfect quality ;-)

During my run this morning tuned into the "new" Bruce Kelly and Company show through my smart phone and wow it was a throw back to how top 40 radio sounded when I was in high school. It made me think of how corporate and canned the morning shows sound now compared to what he gave us this morning. I loved the "feel" of the morning show and am looking forward to many more mornings of having Bruce on in the morning. I must say this station is becoming one of my "go to" presets ;-)

Have they forgotten about Seattle's KNHC, which is (nearly) a full-market signal?
Don't forget about Mesquite, TXs KEOM which is a 61 kw C1 in the DFW Metro.

But hey More Power To KVIT, its great to see stations like this improve!

Gonna be great to hear some "mixing" on The Gold Mine with DJ Perry's House Connection ;-) Bringing Dance back to Arizona radio one mix at a time ;-) Now my dream would be to have Energy Nights on the Gold mine ;-)

Well true true ;-0 I do like tuning into Energy 98 through my smart phone. Always good music and reminds of the Energy days;-)

Give me some suggestions DJ Perry and I will re program my presets on tune in ;-)

Well they are also on my presets and do love checking out the Pulse ;-)

KEOM is a strange situation. Looking at their website and their descriptoin, its a radio training ground for teenage students, yet its format is oldies Classic Hits aimed toward what seems to be a Baby Boomer audience.

I've got to applaud KVIT (and, to an extent, KNHC) for being radio targeting the high-school audience while serving as a way to train students in radio.

I was at a pool party yesterday and we decided to hook up my smart phone to the Goldmine pretty much all day into the night. Everyone at the party was like what stations is this? They were thinking it was some out of town satellite station or XM station and I should nope it is a local east valley station. They were blown away by the station, great variety, good mixing in the evening.. just perfect. Lovin the Goldmine and they are now my "go to" local station in the valley ;-)

Glad to hear that about your Pool Party...I feel our music mix is second to none....Let's just see if it pays off by letting us show at all in the ratings in the next few months. I was on a drive today...nice to hear the Goldmine on 92.7 on my drive from the east valley to dinner with mom near metro center and back.....so no longer are we just east valley, but you know that.
