Just noticed tonight that Twentynine Palms-licensed KVMD channel 31 has reverted to infomercials on its main channel. The station is running a crawler across the top of the screen saying that the disaffiliation from Merit TV was prompted by a payment dispute between KVMD and Merit Street Media. This leaves KTBN-TV 40-2 as the sole Los Angeles affiliate of Merit TV; but because KTBN-TV goes the must-carry route rather than charging retrans fees, that station would have to negotiate a separate agreement with pay-TV providers to carry the subchannel.
