KVMX/Bakersfield has "gone country"

...using "Bobby Bones" piped in on a clearly low quality stream.

Sounded like a crappy Windows Media Player job. Or maybe that was just the "Morning Zoo"

Looks like staff will remain, but truth be told, do you think it has a chance against the powerhouse KUZZ?

Many have tried-- Thunder Country 103.9 in the 80's, the CC BIG (fail) 96.5...

Live and Local wins in this market, except for 107.1, which exists purely because of certain terms of someone's last will.

Maybe they could have made a run at it in the mornings with Winston and Mel and trying to capture the music-loving KUZZ listeners?

This is radio. Nothing ever makes much sense!

Huh, that was one of my favorite stations when I was down there, care to share any details?

92.1 - KVMX. Needs a new set of call letters. Good signal for a class A. But another Country music station is not what OwensVille needs. Nor another SP station.
