Could anyone tell me the history of KVMX (Mix 107-5)? Additionally, I'd appreciate any theories on the apparent ratings decline over the past year. Is their music position viable?Thank you.

KVMX is currently an 80s based Classic Hits station. Until just recently, they were an 80s version of Oldies. Their first book on that format was #1 12+! Before that, they spent several years as Modern AC KBBT, preceded by a very short run as the FM counterpart of the old Alternative KBBT-AM. Leading up to this was a few years of Christian Contemporary with a less than stellar signal covering only the west side of the west hills, later corrected when Salem purchased the station. The station began life as a Class A and now has a construction permit for a C0. I don't think there were any competing applicants for the original frequency, which I believe went on the air in the early 90s.
