KVON To Flip To Spanish Language Programming; Some Elements To Move To KVYN

The flip will take place in 2022 according to the report.

Wine Down Media, the flagship company of Napa Valley’s radio stations, KVON & KVYN, announced that there will be programming changes effective January 3, 2022 on both stations. KVON will expand Spanish programming to reach the growing Hispanic population in Napa County and surrounding areas. KVON’s “Wine Country Live” Morning Show with Barry Martin will be reinvented and relocated to KVYN as a variety show covering community stories, trending topics, and features with KVYN and KVON alum, Jamie Miller.

It was only a matter of time. A big chunk of the KVON schedule, especially weekends, already was in Spanish. The real question will be how much of the content will be syndicated versus local content.
