KVPA-LP channel 42 to be sold

Latin America Broadcasting has agreed to sell KVPA-LP channel 42 to KRCA Television LLC of Burbank for $1.25 million. KRCA Television is owner of KRCA channel 62, Riverside CA, a Spanish-language independent station. Although there is no indication what kind of programming would be on KVPA, I'm expecting it to be a simulcast of KRCA.

The sale is pending FCC approval.

KRCA Television is owned by Lieberman Broadcasting, which owns several Spanish-language independent television stations (full power in LA, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Houston, LPTVs in several other markets), along with a bunch of Spanish-language radio stations. Judging by the stuff that airs on their DFW station, don't expect much -- KMPX channel 29 here is filled with what looks like the Spanish-language equivalent of Jerry Springer.
