KVPW 106.3 to Become Air1

How much coverage does K-Love have?

Two overlapping signals....

KLVY 91.1 which puts a good signal over Fresno and KQKL 88.5 which puts a signal over parts of Fresno, but is primarily for and Hanford and Visalia-Tulare.

Two stations that overlap big time, KLVY 91. 1 with 39Kw ERP is in the foothills of Madera County, and KQKL 88.5, 50Kw ERP located south of Selma at the same site as 106.3. there is a third signal at 98.3 not sure if it's also in Madera or near I-5 in the west hills near Coalinga.

I guess Michael and I posted the same time. If that Third signal 98.3 is the low power station in Madera perhaps it will also become Air-One since 106.3 doesn't quite reach Madera.

Good to see this happening, although KDUV may not be to happy about it. Still, 106.3 doesn't put much of a signal over north Fresno. The Reedley-Dinuba-Kingsburg bible belt will welcome the addition.

KDUV will always have an edge.. They are local!

Local... That's good. You wouldn't want too much "love" (or whatever you'd care to call it) in a (many) market(s), that could leave one wondering if, one, two, three or four reliable / listenable signals are enough?

I do not think K-Love has a signal on 98.3 in the state of California. Did you mean 88.3 KDKL Coalinga, CA?

I heard Air1 is now on 106.3 KVPW.

Yes 106.3 is on the air, with AIR-1,

and there's K-Love on 98.3 from somewhere, I compared it to 91.1 the exact same programming is on it, perhaps it's a LP translator not listed on their website. There is a 98.3 licensed to Huron and Madera.

Ok I looked at the FCC data base and there is a 98.3 in Madera, CA licensed to HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP. Madera is just north of Fresno, CA. K-Love must be on that.

K-Love should definitely not need 98.3 Madera. Air1 could use it. But EMF does not own it. Horizon is trying to sell all their stations. If EMF wanted it they would have bought it by now I would have thought. K-Love is not promoting it on the website so it does not sound like a station that will stay K-Love.

KZLA 98.3 Huron, CA has been silent for the last year inside radio shows.

I assume that you MUST do something with the surplus non-profit funds.
