KVQT 21 - The Texas Channel

It seems that in late July 2017 a Texas themed TV station arrived on KVQT 21.

I never heard of this station which the article stated would be available only over the air. The station is in Conroe.

Having never viewed the channel and the fact I have never heard a word about it before accidentally coming across this article while looking up some history on what had been K30CV years ago, I am curious if anyone knows of the station and if it's still around.

The link: a Ken Hoffman article:

I'm guessing here: this is a lease of one of the KVCT 21 channels?

The idea is interesting but I'd think getting Texas-centric programming would be a challenge. There's a few existing shows about Texas already and certainly select movies would work. Much would have to be created.
