KVSH 101.9 Vashon

KJR 95-7 The Jet, 96.5 Jack-FM KJAQ, and 104.5 KMCQ Q-104.5 should take notice of the music KVSH is playing. They could probably get ratings if they played some of those lost hits, even maybe only on weekends. I remember when Jack-FM played some rare hits when the station changed formats at first.

Need to be really sure you are really listening to KVSH. There is a pirate in downtown Seattle on 101.9. I noticed it, one Thursday night when I was in Seattle. Right now the antenna for KVSH is mounted on the east side rail of the water tank (10' mast) so the signal may be slightly directional towards the east due to the tank. So now it may be covering I-5 better. In about a month the antenna will be back on it's normal mount 30' above the tank in the center.

As far as the Music, VoV has the policy that if the Music has a "Vashon Connection" (you drank on the Island and had a good time) you get played. For Los lobos parts of there album was remixed on the island so they qualify. Other bands that we play have managers that live on the Island or band members. When vov does the live show each weekday from 8-11am anything goes. Live to tape shows also have a more varied music selection versus when the station is in Auto mode and voice tracked.

High school students that go learn "Radio" at VoV will learn how to voice track since that's what they may be faced within the real radio world. They will also learn how to run a board for live shows and remotes.

No, been listening online. I've tried hard to get the signal from Bremerton. It just doesn't seem to come in though. Can't hear that pirate either when I tried my Grundig up at Forest Ridge Park. Have there been alot of artists that have been from Vashon?
