KVST 99.7

Shouldn't they have less coverage than the original KVST 103.7 did?

I seem to always be able to pick them up here near Clear Lake, and before KIOL moved to 103.7 I never could pick up the original K-star country.

Even more confusing, they are not "drowned" out by KSHN 99.9. Both have been coming in like regulars at nighttime.

Have they increased their power? I believe they still only ID as Willis-Conroe-The Woodlands.

Just curious, thx.

Must be good conditions....their coverage is less than the old KUST. They havent done any upgrade AFAIK. With 99.9 adj channel, they cant anyway. The tower did get about 100ft higher but the power was reduced...possibly the summer heat is creating a good duct across Lake Conroe now to "beam" the signal down your way.

Is Barry Kaye still working on-air for them? I can't pick them up and I can't seem to find their website anymore. I'm just curious. I wished I could pick up KSHN on the west side of town. A couple of restaurants and KSHN are the only things I miss about living on the east side of Houston.
