KVST Power up.

So the Houston area LPFMs on 99.7 will now be squeezed by the same Country programming from both directions (or is it NOT going to be a simulcast?)

The KVST move and upgrade will be a wash as far as Houston reception goes...appears the new signal's southern contour will be pretty much the same...power increase negating the greater distance.

Great news... IMO, KVST is the best station in the area, glad they still do radio the way it was intended. Now if only these LPFMs would go away...

KOYM, KHGV and KLHG aren't going anywhere, unless they somehow are able to change frequency. Good luck with that in the overcrowded Houston FM band.

IIRC there's also a translator (en español, surprise!!!) on 99.7, somewhere near BW8 and 290... I remember it causing a pretty good deal of interference. Haven't heard it recently, though.
