Central Coast KVTA Ventura Downgrade Approved

At least the owners of 1590 KVTA are going to keep the station on the air. The FCC approved the downgrade to non-directional 340 watts day, non-directional 46 watts night using one on the three towers in the existing array. Frequent flooding in the antenna field adjacent to the Santa Clara River was the final straw in this downgrade.

Which is as likely an explanation as any for them going all-Sports outside of morning drive. They may remain on the air, but the ad revenue is about to take a hit (if it hasn't already).
