This morning, KVTT is coming in clear in North Houston, completely knocking off local KTEK/Alvin. Has KVTT increased its power already? I don't recall ever getting this good of reception from KJSA at 20kw.
From what I could tell this past weekend they were still running 20kW. Ironically the signal is not that great over eastern Dallas County but it really gets out during critical hours; I wouldn't be surprised if they have a killer signal in Louisiana, too. It's much like the way KGOW slams into northeast Texas with their 50kW for all but a few hours during the day; it's pretty easy to hear 1560 in the Tyler/Longview area until around three hours after sunrise and by mid-afternoon this time of the year they're back again.
