KVTT has been sold to Texoma Broadcasting Inc. anybody heard of this company?

According to the FCC application, the new owner is the CEO of FunAsia, the group that leases and programs KHSE 700, KFCD 990, and KZMP-FM 104.9. They are buying KVTT for $2.625M according to the asset purchase agreement attached to the FCC app and will lease the airtime on KVTT before the sale closes.

Maybe not so much anymore. They (FunAsia) believe enough in their audience to make this kind of investment in a daytime AM. Sounds like a good deal for M&M. Wonder what they'll do with the $$?

Well... this story has a bit of an unseen side to it. A couple of years ago it seems the folks leasing 700AM leased 104.9FM to eliminate their competition (A) who was also doing "Desi" programming. At the end of last year, they leased 900AM 24/7 to eliminate a different competitor (B). Me thinks competitor (B) is currently leasing the time from M&M on 1110. Looks like that will come to an end (again) in the near future (if it hasn't already happened). Does this remind y'all of anything? Maybeeeee... Dallas Times Herald???
