The KVVV highly directional low power (15 KW) signal pattern suggests I should receive it in Spring, but it's a rare event to get a decent picture. Target audience seems to be west and southwest Houston.
That's the problem with LPTVs in a huge metropolitan sprawl like Houston--the signals are simply inadequate unless you are using a good yagi antenna aimed right at the transmitter. At my Cy-Fair location the LPTVs can be hit or miss when rescanning, and there are several I've never been able to pull in. KVVV is actually one of the easier ones to pick up, along with KVQT and KUGB.
