Good to know. Hopefully LMO Christian will do the sensible thing: drop the matter and keep KQFW on channel 7 in Texoma.
Incidentally, that'll make life a bit easier for antenna manufacturers. We should see new UHF antennas optimized for channels 14-51 instead of 14-69. The narrower frequency range will allow for some improvement in performance.
dhett said:Not sure antenna manufacturers will change anything until we all find out in what manner the FCC will shove the National Broadband Plan down all our throats. They may need to optimize UHF for channels 14-30 only, but will definitely need a VHF component because that's where the FCC wants TV stations at.
BTW, I should clarify my earlier remark: stations must submit their applications by Sept. 1 to clear the 700 MHz band; they have until Dec. 31 to actually do it.

w9wi said:I wouldn't count on them to optimize anything. As of June 2009 they'd known for years there were DTV stations on VHF, but kept right on selling UHF-only antennas. Heck, I took a call about two hours ago from someone who'd been sold a UHF-only antenna *last weekend*, in a market with three major-network stations on VHF.
JHBrandt said:Nevertheless I'm hopeful that a few manufacturers will cater to us antenna geeks with UHF antennas (or UHF components of combo antennas) optimized for 14-51.

21.1 as KTXA

21.2-21.9 (These are the only digital channels/sub-channels I logged, that did not display a channel name or label.)

KWDA finally figured out how to fix their hinky PSIP. They are now showing as 30.2-30.7 + 30.9 on all my tuners (that previously showed them as 21.1-21.7).
