Simply put, the FCC ought to prohibit such stations from abandoning their communities.
No need for them exists. Oklahoma City has plenty of radio stations.
In addition, such small-town operators tend pay lower salaries than a medium market like OKC and can have a negative effect on salaries and benefits at the larger, more established OKC stations.
