Listening to "A Prairie Home Companion" on KWGS from Northwest Arkansas, I noticed at about 6:20 PM that the station content abruptly cut to a time of day service by the US Naval Observatory.
I heard:
"US Naval Observatory master clock. At the tone, Eastern Daylight Time. 19 hours, 24 minutes, 30 seconds. (beep)
Universal time. 23 hours, 24 minutes, 35 seconds. (beep) US Naval Observatory master clock. At the tone, Eastern Daylight Time.
19 hours, 24 minutes, 45 seconds. (beep) Universal Time 23 hours, 24 minutes, 50 seconds. (beep) US Naval Observatory master clock.
At the tone, Eastern Daylight Time. 19 hours, 25 minutes, exactly. (beep)"
As of 6:42 PM, they are back to normal, with "A Prairie Home Companion" after having "dead air" for a little while.
