KWIE in the IE loses PD.

Whats the problem there? Although I wasn't a fan of the direction the station took (way too Urban for the market)... the 2 PD's before him both unexpectedly jumped ship, after semi-successful runs.

In the fall book, the Hispanic comp of the station grew to 60% - it's highest ever - so that statement is false. It's also ranked No. 3 local 18-34 behind only KGGI and KXRS/KXSB (pretty darn good). The music cycle this fall was heavily R&B - even Power 106 is playing more R&B than it has in recent memory.

Nevertheless, the market is almost 10% African American (bigger comp than L.A.).

The PD prior to this posted the best ratings ever and was offered a job in a larger market. The PD prior to him was promoted to Los Angeles.
