KWIZ-FM

No one here has mentioned this suprisingly, but it looks as if KWIZ-FM dropped the Sonido name and mabye even format to become La Rockola, what appears to be a Regional Mexican station.

My question is why? They already have Que Buena, the only purpose for another one would be to flanker KSCA prehaps, but it's not like as if KBUE would take the top spot if KWIZ knocked KSCA down a notch, and besides, with David overseeing KSCA, I don't think that will happen. :)

Thanks for the compliment, although KSCA is in a different part of the food chain from my day to day activities, and skillfully overseen by Gerardo López. KSCA is really a personality station, with the bookends of Piolín and La Peligrosa... not dependent on music. Kwiz is doing all request radio with the light side of regional, not the hard core stuff on KBUE. In fact, there is not too much overlap between them. Under the sonido name, they changed music blend or format several times, so this is nothing new...
