KWKT Fox 44

In the previous I know some us were talking about KNVA in Austin moving their My Network TV programming 2 hours later to 11pm from 9pm and that it shares an affiliation with the CW network as well as not having it's own seperate channel on sub channel.

I'm now looking at the schedule for KWKT Fox 44 in Waco and they have a secondary affiliation with My Network TV and carries the programming at 1 am as well as Fox programming. Then I looked on the schedule and they added the Estrella Spanish channel on it's sub channel on 44.2, and I'm thinking they can put a Spanish channel on the sub channel but can't give My Network TV their own channel? I think KWKT should've put My Network TV on it's own channel seperating it from KWKT on Fox. It amazes me of some of the decisions made at these TV stations, it just makes you scratch your head sometimes.

Then what would you fill the other 22 hours a day with?
You can fill the schedule with the usual general entertainment programming like any other station would air like sitcoms, dramas, movies, etc. Or add on Retro TV or This TV to fill the other 22 hours.

1. I sincerely doubt any station is looking to invest in syndicated programming right about now. From what I'm hearing, it's a money-loser on a subchannel.

2. Airing This TV might make the market's This TV affiliate, KCEN, rather unhappy.

3. Given RTV's recent problems, I have a hard time believing any large reputable station will be adding this network any time soon.

Goes to show ya how behind I am, I wasn't aware that KCEN had This TV on a subchannel. I didn't see anything on their website mentioning that unless I missed it. And RTV is still having financial issues under Luken Communications? I knew that had some issues under Equity, I hate to hear that because from they have a good schedule lineup and I hate to see that go under.

KCEN doesn't promote 9-2 as "This TV" but when you look at the schedule from their website, it's very clearly This TV movies.

RTV's problems aren't really financial now, they're technical. I've been hearing about lip sync problems for weeks, problems with local ads not being aired (big no-no!), and the same episodes of shows running over and over again. Basically, I've been told it looks very sloppy and unprofessional, and that there are stations dropping RTV because of it.

If this is the case RTN will fit right in with KNWS TV 51 whenever they get around to getting this channel on the air

When I used to live in Venus jist south of Fort Worth, I would watch KWKT, mostly KXXV but they would seem a great candidate for MyNetTV.
