KWKW Format Flip?

Saw a print ad in today's L.A. Times..."1330 am INFORMA Las Noticias 7AM-10AM". Spoke with a former colleague who works there and he said change of format. I inquired about the PBP of the local pro teams and he was not sure of that was involved.

Do you know if 1220 KTMZ will drop the simulcast, and stay with Spanish language Sports?

Whatever they flip it to won't help it much it's AM with a limited reach so here's wishing them good luck

They have a decent signal in the LA HDHA’s and that is all that matters.

Or likely. The 1220 signal complements 1330 but can’t make money on is own.

To update KWKW, they rebranded as 'Noticias & Deportes'. The only news program though, is a 3 hour block Monay through Friday (7 to 10am). The rest of the day is live local sports talk, with TUDN programming at night and weekends, and lots of play by play in Spanish from 6 different teams.
