KWNR Down In Ratings. KISF Is #1. WHat Does This Mean?

Does this mean KWNR's days are numbered? Las Vegas growing hispanic population has been steadily increasing the past few years and there are already two spanish stations here already. KLSQ is one of them.

KWNR used to finish in either second place or top spot. They now come in the 4's. Will KWNR become just another KZLA 93.9 in Los Angeles or will they bounce back. Don't understand why KSNE and KLUC is up in the top 5.

KZLA changed formats a couple of months of ago. KZLA never had the numbers of it's competitors and have been down in the ratings for years. Los Angeles was not a big country market. Las Vegas may very well be the next Los Angeles.

What will KWNR listeners if they lose their station here in las Vegas. KCYE isn't much competiton. can't imagine Las Vegas without a country station. hopefully things will improve in the next three or four ratings cycles. If not, there is much to worry about.

You are over reacting. The country share in Las Vegas is far higher than it was in Los Angeles. Did you actually see how poorly KZLA was doing? With two country stations in LV, the structure of the market has changed, still this is no Los Angeles. Maybe in 10 or 20 years it will be, but not now.

This market has become very fragmented. PARTY will fragment things even further. KISF will probably be #1 more often than not, especially with the massive numbers their morning show has.

You don't have to be #1 to make money, you can't be #23 like KZLA was in LA, that's why they aren't around anymore.
