Was in the Sac area visiting last week. As a Sacramento native that grew up as a KWOD listener I was very happy to hear what is currently on the station. I believe KWOD sounded best somewhere between 1993 and 1996. Those years were some of the best radio I have heard, the station was unique and I was a extrememly loyal listener. I am impressed that a company such as Entercomm can at least come close to doing those years justice. KWOD will probably never sound like it did over ten years ago, but in my opinion they sound better than the station did in the latter years of Ed Stolz. I can't believe I am saying it, but I think Entercomm has done some impressive stuff with that station. Best of all, it sounds like no other station I have heard and that is very rare in todays world of corporate radio.

P.S. to anyone with a good ear for audio, take a listen to KWOD's very clean and natural sounding processing. Their audio impressed me almost more than the programming. Sure the station is much quieter than any other on the dial, but the music sounds like it was meant to sound.
