KWRD & KZEY

This showed up today 11/23/05 on the FCC Daily Digest:

TX BR-20050408ABE KWRD 71519 JERRY RUSSELL D/B/A THE RUSSELL COMPANY Renewal of License.
E 1470 KHZ HENDERSON, TX

TX BR-20050408ABO DKZEY 12809 COMMUNITY BROADCAST GROUP, INC. Renewal of License.
E 690 KHZ TYLER, TX

I didn't see any mention of KOFY.

Wow...that's odd. Here's what I do not understand: KZEY and KOFY are deleted from the FCC but, isn't there a possibility that two of the three East Texas AMs owned by Russell will ever have a chance in hell of being acquireed by another group? My answer: doubtfully so unless if the windows of these two stations open up to anyone, just as long as it's mainly KZEY (I want to program it to an R&B oldies format. At least that's one format that's been missing since KKDA-AM's insertions of the format shortly after KKDA-FM went Urban). Just a random thought, but what are the fate of the other stations in Atrkansas and Mississippi?
______________
To MRS Ventures: You killed two legendary AMs and operating them illegaly. Prepare to be hit with fines and then find out as to gives a damn.

How sad. Wonder if he (or anybody else, for that matter) has notified the FCC that KWRD hasn't been on the air now in months? Or that KZEY and KOFY have both been operating illegally for weeks?

So much for serving the public interest.
