KWSS (LP-FM) Scottsdale

Anybody know how far this LP-FM gets out?

They look to have a pretty decent coverage area according to Radio-info, but they were nowhere to be found attempting to pull them in in Tempe the other day (near I-10 and Broadway not too far from Sky Harbor)..

The FCC seems to think that 100 watts at 100 feet will get you about 5 miles in each direction with an LP-FM..is that about as far as KWSS gets, with transmitter appearing to be North, up around 51/101 hwys..

Anyone ever been able to get them south near Sky Harbor, or doesn't the signal get that far?

Their transmitter is near 40th St. & Bell Rd. so their chances of reaching Sky Harbor are just about zero with 96 watts and -10 feet HAAT (33 ft. above ground). I work near the airport and I don't hear them there. Sometimes I can get them in south Scottsdale, but Camelback Mountain blocks the signal to the due-south.
