Since there is no specific TV board for Oklahoma City or Oklahoma, I'm going to post this thread here.
Longtime KWTV-9 meteorologist Gary England, considered by many to be one of the great TV weathercasters in that part of the world, has been given a major promotion by KWTV parent company Griffin Communications.
He will now work in Corporate as Vice President working on "severe storm mitigation, technology development, and audience relations" for Griffin Communications.
But to take the job, England will give up his daily weather forecasting job, but will still appear on the station from time-to-time to do features on long-term weather trends.

(Personally, I think you may still see him on-air during severe weather events. Having seen live KWTV's coverage of the tornado outbreak in Moore, Oklahoma earlier this year via their website, I can tell you that he did a superb job)
