KWYN & KTRQ Wynne

Just noticed KWYN recently filed an app to move and go 50kw.

The new signal will give 92.5 a better signal over the west half of town.

Also KTRQ has an app to relocate to a site just east of the new 92.5 site

How would this affect their signal strength in Memphis? 92.5 comes in OK, and I live near the U of M. 102.3 comes in stronger, though, almost as well as their oldies competition, 95.3...

Currently both stations fall just short of covering W. Memphis with 60 dbu.
92.5 will have a 60 dbu signal over the west half of Memphis.
102.3 new signal will cover W. Memphis & the edge of Downtown Memphis with a 60 dbu signal.

I visited the owner last summer and was told he would like to be able to hold his regular listeners when they come to Memphis. It's hard to get people back after the flip the dial.

Intresting fact... Locally speaking... the ratings winner is the 1kw am KWYN 1400.

At this point in time, when I get northeast of the 240 loop, I tend to lose 102.3 to Rock103's digital hash.

I loose most everything in that area... any place on the dial i could hear out of market signals is almost useless now
