KXAM 1440 Question

Hey Guys:

Just wanted to find out, was KXAM 1440 "X-Rock" a modern rock (new wave) station or a straight ahead AOR?

What years did it exist? 80 to 81? I know KXAM was urban for a time.

Thanks for your help
T.J.

Hey Guys:

Just wanted to know if there was ever a time the xmttr site of 14~Forty didn't look like the back lot at Sanford & Son?

Thanks for your help.

I cruised by there a couple days ago and you're right, it does!

Should have taken some pics...but I think they did finally trim
the clinging vine* on the corner of the shack.

Now we know why Lamont "scowled" in the opening credits
(until they reshot it a few seasons in)--wouldn't you if you
lived behind a lumberyard? ;)

BTW, since it is a 1440 thread, they finally reset the lamptimer
a few days ago and it now resembles something close to real
time! But it still gains :11 every 24 hours. :(

*: Clinging Vine by Bobby Vinton--a perfect "add" to the Goldmine's
hard drive for limited airplay (i.e., not the My Way category). ;D
