KXCI launches fundraising drive to improve coverage

The Tucson community station on 91.3 mHz is looking to raise $750,000 for a variety of improvement projects, but almost half of it will go toward a booster in midtown. I hope they are really planning a translator. A booster, by definition on the same frequency, will cause considerable interference to the original signal over the areas that both signals cover. A translator is on another frequency and can coexist easily.
