KXIC heard WBBM's IBOC off

Here's your chance in the Chicago area to hear KXIC 800 Iowa City (maybe CKLW or WDUX too!) since the I-blast is turned off now at 1:00 p.m.

Thanks for the tip! Heading to the window with my Grundig right now!

Both WMT and KXIC are owned by Clear Channel (and have both arguably gone downhill because of it....but I digress)

KXIC is do-able daytime here in McHenry County (barely) even when 'BBM's noisemaker is turned on. For that matter, Iowa City's WSUI is also audible here during the day. And, of course, WMT....to the everlasting gratefulness of Iowa Hawkeye sports fans....has a perfectly listenable daytime signal on a good radio just about everywhere in the Chicago area.

Agreed. Thankfully, you can hear WMT, and KXIC when WBBM isn't running its IBOC, just so you can hear Rush and Hannity on a couple more stations. Hooray. Whoopee. Well, at least Hawkeye sports are a plus, for anybody who's interested.
