KXKL Boogie No More?

Several weeks ago I saw either a posting on R-I or a
story on R&R (can't recall exactly) that classic hits
syndicated wonderboy Tom Kent would be landing
at KXKL-FM Denver.

No other info was given, so I was just waiting for the
shoe to drop, and I guess it now has.

References to Da Boogieman on the KXKL "on air" page
of the website are gone.

It's a bit strange in that there's another name listed for
evenings, with Kent shown on overnights. He's been
replacing local evening voices on some other CBS
classic hits stations.

And what's with the PM drive jock doing 2-8?
Wanna bet the 7-8 hour is now voicetracked? It is
on KOOL-FM Phoenix (PM drive jock does 3-8pm,
followed by Tom Kent 8pm-1am).

Leave it to CBS to RUIN what was once one of THE BEST programmed Oldies station in America (If not the best one of 'em all).

WHAT A SHAME

First they try turning WCBS-FM into a JACK station (Look where that got them - They're STILL reeling from that dumbass move) and now THIS???

Me thinks it's HIGH time the top brass at CBS who ACTUALLY know radio end this disaster before CBS Radio becomes another NBC Radio and gets morphed into Westwood One Radio with a bunch of radio stations under its corporate belt.

I say this because at the rate they're going now, it'll only be a matter of time before Disney/ABC Radio/Citadel tops them.

Just my opinion....

Cheers :)
