Washington KXLE-FM - We're almost there

Congratulations on the rebuild! Wishing you and the staff and management of KXLE-FM good luck on this new endeavor!

KXLE-FM is now on the air from Lookout... new antenna, new transmission line, solid state transmitter... if you're within earshot, listen Wednesday morning 6-10 am for Christmas Eve special morning show!

What was the reason of the drop to 18KW vs. the old 51KW from that mountain site? Was it to protect KPND and CKZZ?
95.3 is all K237GY Prosser now from West Yakima, like it was prior to the Manastash move.

KRHR 95.1 O'Dell/Hood River upgrade from Class A to Class C3 in which KXLE have to drop down their power from 51Kw to 18Kw and change from Class C1 to Class C2.

KRHR upgrade as stated above. But yeah, and KPND is the dominant 95.3 here in Moses Lake. No sign of KXLE anymore.

Gee gang, appreciate your concern... but 18kw is the Class C2 minimum (not maximum) from Lookout. It will work well, with a signal significantly better than it was ever since the fire 12+ years ago. And our focus is Kittitas County. Plus, I don't believe we're at full power yet anyway.

After installing a tubeless transmitter and installing a new air management system, as of yesterday we may actually have that Lookout site functioning... it's not so easy to do this stuff in the winter! We'll be moving studios to the heart of the downtown Historic District in the near future, across from the Museum and Post Office.

I think the FCCdata.org entry for KXLE-FM does not quite match up with the latest FCC filing for 18 kw. RCAMSL and HAAT seem off.
