KXMG officially flips spanish contemporary as Mega

After turning the transmitter off for a few hours, It was brought up with sounds like Spanish Contemporary pop as Mega 107.5 and was announced last night on the sister LaRaza830 twitter feed. LaMega 107.5 however still using Houma tower so far running spanish Djs but sounds Bilingual vocals.

Country has flipped to 96.7 as c96.7 but still hearing some issues they haven't fixed as of yet as noise in the audio like STL link issues

Sí, hasta que se muevan a New Orleans

Since the CP was held up not sure how long they got to move 107.5 but sounded like they finally using Jean Lafitte CP name as the way they got KCIL moved in closer to HOuma was a condition to move 107.5 out of town.

There are still a lot of spanish population on the bayou however... to justify a station not sure as most I hear listen to regional Mexican on cd

I can't remember the website you used, got the link? Curious what KCIL's pattern looks like now.

Also looks like they reimaged LaFabulosa WFNO 830am to LaRaza or at least I don't remember hearing about a changeas it went from spanish contemporary to regional mexican

KXMG...Mega 93-3's old call letters.

I'm assuming Mega will no longer be an affiliate of the LSU Sports Network, so will 96-7 become the new affiliate in Houma?

Since the whole format of KCIL flipped there I would assume so as well as Saints football.

Curious however if the saints spanish language games will be covered on Mega as they are on WFNO 830 who is the spanish flagship

New story on the happeneings of KXMG

KXMG 107.5 has apparently been having issues with the old Houma transmitter and this is why it's going on and off the air as well as them being forced to move by the owners of the tower.

There is a temporary STA to move to Chalmette (on WVUE tower) at a reduced power of 15kw ERP and at 274 meters high as they are stating their new location should be on air at the beginning of next year (they blame flooding as cause for delay)

https://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/w...xt=25&appn=101438698&formid=911&fac_num=25520

However they are listed under the STA as a COL of Houma, yet will have no signal in COL but the application was oked this past week so movement of 107.5 should occur real soon
