KXNO Cann't Sell the Chiefs Locally?

One thing i've noticed tonight while i've turned the TV down & radio up for the Chiefs game is that when the Chiefs radio network cut's for local breaks, i've yet to hear an actual commerical on KXNO, it's nothing but promos for the cyclowns and Larry Cotlar.

Does KPSZ & KWKY have the same problem with their respective broadcasts of Packers & Bears, or is KXNO just depending on the deep pockets of CC to pay for the broadcasts? Personally, I hope it's the latter, because it drives me nut's in that the local media, espcially the Register, seem to think that unless it's spun back to Iowa, that we don't care about professional sports.

"pay for the broadcasts"?
What makes you think they "pay" for that? Are you talking about the $7 an hour board op? If so, yes, they can eat the $28.
