KXNT Shooting reports

I heard two reports today from the shooting and holdout on the eastside. I thought KXNT did well, with a reporter live from the scene. I am an admitted talk radio junkie, and although I don't work for any of them, I think KXNT does a pretty good job news-wise. KNEWS didn't seem to be on it, and of course, K-Dusk had info-mercials. 1280 was just satellite.

Really, is KXNT as bad as I see on this board? They seem to have the programs, the ratings, and seem to also be the only station trying out new talent.

Am I off my rocker?

(easy there, JD)

maybe JD's concerns have struck a nerve...kxnt has changed their policy

.some one on this forum said KXNT-Las Vegas market couldn't afford to have live radio reporters....of course they did in the past....

.KXNT should do a promo "the only radio station to give you live breaking news on th shooting etc etc"

It wouldn't surprise me if JDs comments did have some influence on KXNT having a live reporter on the scene. Hopefully KXNT will continue to do this when a big local story breaks.

I tried to listen to KXNT today but they were having a discussion about giving perfume as a Valentine's day gift. Those fluff topics always make me instantly punch out, but they seem to be helping KXNTs ratings so I guess they should keep it up.
