KXOL 1660 apparently back on the air

The last couple nights I was tuning around the MW after a break of a couple months, and heard ranchero and norteño music on 1660 with a decent signal.

ID at the top of the hour turned out to be the call letters of another Utah area Spanish format station, KMRI 1550. They ID as "La Raza, 15-50 y 16-60 A.M." or something quite close to that.

KXOL used to really blast in here from Utah. Their signal seems a bit weaker now than it was before they went off the air, but that could just be conditions.

Tuned it in on my little Realistic DX-370 (Sangean 800A) and crate loop antenna -- radio has a great ceramic filter, and is easy to DX with.

When KXOL first came on 1660, I used to hear them all the time on my trips to the West Coast. Then I also heard them one morning at sunrise here in the Chicago area. 2005 IIRC. They should've been on 1kw night power at that time of morning, but who knows!
