KXOS HD2 Running XEM

I am so glad I look at these HD channels daily. Rather surprised
finding a Spanish News station, XEM 690 in Mexico
City on 93.9's HD2. Seems like maybe another
Groupo Radio Centro outlet. I had a friend listening-and-translating,
quite a different type of presentation than our news formats

It's "XEN" 690, one of GRC's talk AM's known as "La 69" with a stable of traditional news comentatiors like former Televisa lead anchor Jacobo Zabludovsky, and Nino Canún in mornings. Of all their outlets, that is the one I'd least expect them to carry.

This is not a news format (790 AM does that... XERC... which sounds a lot like KNX). It's more like Bill O'Reilly 24/7.

In Mexico City, GRC has 5 AMs and 6 FMs. I believe that XEN is the lowest rated of all of them.

Jacobo Zabludovsky must be 100 years old by now. Remember watching 24 Horas when I was a kid. Still remember how mad he was his chubby son didn't get the lead anchor gig and the current Emilio Azcarraga fired them both in favor of Lopez-Doriga. Don't Radio Imagen and Radio Formula get bigger ratings in D.F. David? I'll have check out XEM on HD 2.
