KXPW-LP Georgetown, Texas fined $20,000 for underwriting violations

The FCC says ''Contributing to our finding is the fact that many of these announcements appear
to exceed thirty seconds in length. Although the Commission has not imposed quantitative limits
on the length of underwriting announcements, it has found that the longer the announcements, the
more likely they are to contain material, as here, that is inconsistent with the “identification only”
purpose of such announcements.''

Are you listening non-comms? You're supposed to ID the underwriters not promote them.

I've gotta tell you, I've heard worse than what was in the filing on KAZI over the past year. While it seems to have tapered off recently, the promotional announcements (that is COMMERCIALS) they were running for sponsors were absolutely over the line.
