KXRK ratings drop- why

I've noticed a ratings drop for KXRK lately. Of course I've only got access to the 12+ numbers, but they've gone from a 5.7 in Fall '06 to a 3.4 in the winter and have pretty much stayed in that area through the spring.

I've also noticed a change in their music. It seems like they have started to lean a little more adult, musically.

My question is, which came first? The chicken (lower share) or the egg (change in music)? Was the change in music a reaction to the lower ratings, or were the lower ratings a result of the change in music?
 
Because "Artie Fufkin" is horrible, and their morning show has not done anything for years. There is nothing except music to listen to in X96. Typical Simmons Station
