KXRX DEBUT - JAN 87 - IS THERE A ROY OTIS MARATHON AIRCHECK?

Is there any chance that anyone has tapes of the debut of KXRX? It was one of the funniest launches I have ever heard - continuous music and no commercials, just hilarious little vignettes, breaks or bizarre comments from Roy Otis...THE ROY OTIS MARATHON. I believe it ran for several days around New Year's Day 1987. If there are any arichecks of this, please post here or email me at [email protected]

Thanks

I would imgaine they are in the hands of the the one and ony Robin Erickson and/or John Maynard.

The greatest rock station Seattle ever had!

Not exactly what I was looking for, but...

I got an email from "Gerald" who sent me an amusing Crow & West aircheck with them imitating Kent & Alan.

He also asked that I post a new URL for Mike West...good looking site!

Still looking for some Roy Otis airchecks.

Thanks!

that web site's a dump

Curious why you would say that?

They are at least TRYING to preserve some history and while it may not be what you want or what you envision, it's far more productive to tell them what you want to see than to simply bash their efforts.

I highly doubt MOHAI opened their doors with the JP Patches ensemble and the lamp that started Seattle fire in their collection. They worked up to it.
