KXRX VIDEO from 1992 - classic!

Hey we are both even in the same building again! You should see the "special" video Mike shot with me and the twins!
Smooch,
Crowski

WOW! Now that was when radio was FUN....and KXRX was one of the best.....

I also noticed a lot of the studio/computer equipment in that video is totally obsolete today......

Those were the days...... :(

I wonder what a video tour of a station would look like today?

"Here is where the morning show used to sit..now Jimmy mans the controls for a low hourly wage until we can find a way to cut him and just have our engineer on call should the station go off the air. Now over here is where our PD used to sit, but that office is empty and we'll have to go to the other side of the building to meet the one that now has to program all of our stations." :)

How many times did C&W and R&M switch between mornings and afternoons. I have some airchecks from around 1987/1988 and C&W were in the afternoons. In the 1992 video, they were on in the mornings. But I seem to remember in 1994 when the X was ending, R&M were in the mornings. Just curious.

Per that YouTube video in the notes:

C&W began on the X afternoons 2-6pm from '87-'90,
then switching to mornings++ until Crow departed to another local station in '93,
leaving Mike w/ his own show and him going back to afternoons (3-7pm)
until the station folded to a new owner/format in '94
++(the X's OTHER main staple duo of
'Robin and Maynard' switched to afternoons from
AM drive at that time, then back to mornings in '93)

What made "The X" so large was the listeners. It was like THEY took the ball and ran with it . . . amazing.

We debuted with a 4.3 12+ out of the box, that record still stands.

KXRX was a unique mixture of talent, management, sales and attitude. Everyone at that radio station had FUN in the begiining, then the slow decay as corporate attitude took over.

WE HAD FUN EVERYDAY!

Be safe,
Crowski

I believe Mike and I had chairty event to host after that show. Usually we wore the typical jock attire, jeans and a sweat shirt.

Terry is still doing a lot of voice work and photography.

Be safe.
