KXTE to change formats soon????

This excerpt came from a local PR/AD Agency's recent newsletter:
__________

Dialed In

XM Satellite Radio recently announced it had signed its four millionth customer. Competitor SIRIUS - home of Howard Stern in January 2006 - currently has about 1.5 million subscribers. Don't expect local radio rates to be impacted any time soon though. It's still a very small percentage of listeners.

But do expect some big format changes related to Stern's departure from Infinity's Xtreme Radio, aka KXTE. Other stations will probably try to beat KXTE by making their moves prior to January. LITE 100 - which is owned by the same company as Xtreme - pre-empted everyone by shuffling its tunes to the new "Jack" format a few weeks ago.

What About Jack?

Jack Radio is an interesting attempt to pump some life into the local radio scene - but they only got it half right. The Smiths, Black Eyed Peas, Prince, Talking Heads, Roxy Music...all good. REO Speedwagon, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Boston...ughh...enough already.

Was this newsletter speculating or do they have inside information that KXTE is going to change formats?

When I saw the post below that said "Infinty screws Beasley" the first thing that came to my mind was the possibility of KXTE beating KSTJ to a format change.

i don't know why infinity chose 100.5 for jack fm...107.5 would have been better...there are some jack stations that air howard stern....

I though that all Jack stations were jockless. What Jack station still airs Stern?

I believe the Jack station in Buffalo still airs Stern.

WBUF 92.9 in Buffalo airs stern, no jocks for the rest of the day.
