Does anyone know anything about this station that just popped up this morning? KXTT, its based in Taft, Maricopa and owned by lazer? Anyone , Anyone????

KXTT(FM)(CP) Maricopa and KEAL(FM) Taft (Bakersfield), Calif.

Cost $3.85 million

Lazer Broadcasting Corp. owned by Alfredo Plascencia. Plascencia has 15 other stations but none in this market.

I believe the format is "Classic hits" dunno for sure.

:) So -- can any one hear 94.9 KXTT or 106.5 KEAL in Bakersfield ??? I'm sure that they are not doing Classic Rock. More like both are doing Spanish. Can anyone hear them or not ?? 4 million bucks for two stations that don't even cover Bakersfield. What a shame.

Driving back from LA didnt hear anything but KBOS. Not even sure if the lights are on anymore. They were here one week and now pooof gone. Odd Even drove to Lake Buena Vista 10 mins from Taft NOTHING but KBOS... Anyone know what happen?

Just what I thought would happen. Both stations "went silent" just after filing for the station license. They were built on a 50 foot pole -- instead of the full proposed 200 foot tower. They had to get on the air -- before the CP expired and the FCC would not grant them an extention. So they filed once again -- to build the tall 200 foot tower and now have a new CP. They will be back "on the air" once they get the tower built. That's the ONLY way that they will even get to Bakersfield.

While 103.9 Taft has a good signal at my compound in the western Antelope Valley, 94.9 KXTT or 106.5 KEAL never made it here. Adelmans 103.9 has no signal here despite the fact I'm in the same zip code as the studio.
At least the inmates at the Taft prison should be able to hear them when they get back on the air, should be a good demo; Male 18-65 unemployed, uneducated and incarcerated.
