Appears to have migrated from a sort of variety hits heavy on classic alternative to a form of Adult Alternative/AAA - with currents and recurrence from Chris Stapleton to Tame Impala. Still with lots of alternative classics in the mix and not terribly obscure.

Not sure when they added the current tracks - I enjoy checking the playlist occasionally but the stream is only available to locals.
 
Yeah, I think you're correct. I looked at the Recently Played online. I tried to stream but got that voice saying I was outside their listening area, which is very true. I live in the Seattle area.

I used to live in LA (up until Fall 2018) and would get up to SLO from time to time, especially for the Mid State Fair. I liked listening to KXTZ/KXDZ as well as KPYG and KKAL (The Crush) when I visited. Your post made me nostalgic.
