KXXF is on the air

Likely yes. I've been hearing it at various points throughout the day. KISS-FM is above the NGEN translator, KROX from Austin is making appearances today, as is the regular catch of KBPA "Bob-FM". Even caught Austin's Que Buena earlier, sandwiched in between 104 KRBE and La Mejor. Seems we have a good day for the I-35 corridor stations, over here in Houston.

Just wait until they direct the coverage more to the west...

The station makes a fairly adequate Beaumont market facility, and an absolutely horrid Houston station.

If anything, they should want to hang the bays to favor the east, not the west.

Nothing on the West side yesterday (Grand Parkway) - an extremely weak country station occasionally came in on 105.3.

They cant do much more than what it has right now...105.3 is hemmed in by KTWL to the NE and 104.9 signals such as KZWA and KPTY....putting the bays on the east side wont help much coverage in the BPT area anyway...
