Can anyone check to see if they are reporting to yes.com? I've tried searching for them half a dozen times and it won't come up.

What is yes.com and why would a radio station be reporting to it?

Yes.com is a one stop location for radio station playlists. You can access the playlists of virtually every radio station, everywhere, by typing in the station's call letters. It shows the last two or three hours, the last week(hour by hour) and the station's top 100 played songs. There are other features but this should give you a general idea.

Thank you.

So now I'm wondering why a programmer would want to make it easier for others to know his/her music rotation. What's in it for the broadcaster?

Not really a financial gain ... more of a listener service tool. Things such as "yes" (and many others) will give you the "now playing/last played" functionality without having to do the integration yourself from methods such as RDS integration. For programmer ... the biggest benefit (?) MIGHT be a way to give listeners chance to identify a song without having talent back-announce everything. I used to hate the consultants who would insist stations MUST do that (remember the "if you play it ... say it" campaigns?) as it drained the energy out of every stop-down with a 2-hour list of "that was ... before that ... before that ....". Different on a station that features less familiar music ... but on a CHR, for crapsake???!!!!

Heaven forbid anyone would dare identify the music on the air.

MUSIC?? What is WRONG with you people?? Don't you know radio is STRICTLY AN ADVERTISING MEDIUM? And ABSOLUTELY NOTHING MORE!!! Now get back in there and play those Walmart and Taco Bell spots over and over!!

Well Yes.com has not been a very reliable service or tool for anyone imho, I would much rather use TuneGenie if the station is on there, or TuneIn radio as they report songs played as well.

We use TuneGenie on KXRX.net and they have been great specially now that they have added the social netwrking aspect to their service.
