KY 102 upsidedown billboard

I used to visit relatives in KC back in the late 70's and I remember seeing a KY 102 billboard that was upside down. Am I remembering that correctly? or did I just dream that. And if so, why would they put the billboard upside down. Must have been some kind of joke.
 
Why put the billboard upside down?

It's for people who stand on their head, of course.

It attracts attention!!!!! Thats why.

In Chicago, a car dealer was Nickey Chevrolet. They had all their ads with a "backward K" and people STOPPED at the dealer to tel them "did you know the k is bacjwards?" O Yes they did. For YEARS!
